Story
Lovingly named after NASA’s “Telstar” satellite launched In 1962 (the first of its kind to successfully beam television, phone calls, and telegraphs across the Atlantic), Guyatone’s Telstar of the ’60s was an experimental guitar the likes of which no-one had ever seen. Not only did it absolutely tear apart any notion of what a guitar should look like, but it also included a full 24 frets across a 25 1/2″ scale length – an otherworldly spec in and of itself, for the time.
We feel the Telstar is just too cool for there to be so few of them out there… so let’s bring it back!
The Eastwood Telstar 2 will pay tribute to the original in great space-age detail, and will include our EW RTG Single Coil pickups (see the SD-40 Hound Dog for tones) to capture all the ’60s vintage vibes you need!
